WHO?
Join either as an individual or get together a team and set a joint target of 22 hours or more.
WHERE?
You will register, log your hours in the water and collect donations through our website.
WHEN?
You'll be able to register your team and start collecting donations in early 2025 but the challenge takes place in April.
WHY GET INVOLVED?
SURF MORE
The challenge gives you the perfect reason to prioritise your time in the water this April, a great time of year to be hitting the surf.
Have some fun and challenge your friends, or team up on a combined goal. We'll have live leaderboards where you can check each others progress.
Oh, and did we mention there will be prizes.
FEEL GOOD
The research is stacking up to tell us what we already know, that surfing makes us feel great. So you'll also be reaping the rewards of getting out there more while doing something good for others.
So if you need another reason to get out there more have a read of what the science has to say.
MAKE AN IMPACT
Help to improve the culture around mental wellbeing in Australia by raising money for programs that will help to prevent mental ill health and suicides.
Just participating in the challenge and sharing about it sends a message to the people in your network that you are helping to fight the stigma around mental ill health.
HOW DOES IT WORK?

- Get out there and catch some waves.
- As some extra encouragement throughout the challenge, we will keep you updated around available prizes and promotions to help keep you focused on your surfing and fundraising goals.

ABOUT THE CAUSE
We believe that every Australian should have access to a lifestyle that protects their mental health and with only an estimated 1% of federal funding currently going into prevention we need your help to do it.
Funds raised by the Ripple Effect Wave Challenge will go directly into programs and initiatives that focus on enhancing mental wellbeing and make a positive impact on the health of Australians.
